TORONTO, ON - A driver fleeing police in North York on Tuesday night struck two pedestrians, leaving them seriously injured, according to the Toronto Star.
Officers were heading south on Keele Street shortly before 11 p.m. when the driver of an SUV began fleeing. Moments later, the SUV collided with another vehicle headed east on the highway 401 entrance ramp.
The SUV's driver continued down Keele Street until the vehicle struck two pedestrians crossing at the intersection with Falstaff Avenue.
Both victims, aged 24 and 53, were rushed to an area hospital with serious injuries. No updates on their conditions are available at this time.
It is unclear at this time if any arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
