MARKHAM, ON – A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Saturday night after a pedestrian collision on Woodbine Avenue in Markham, according to CP24.
The incident took place north of Steeles Avenue East. CP24 first reported on it at 10:34 p.m.
Details remain limited at this time, but officials said the victim was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle. At the last update, his condition was listed as stable.
Part of Woodbine Avenue between Steelcase Road West and Idema Road was shut down in both directions during the response and initial investigation.
Authorities did not immediately say whether the driver stayed at the scene.
