SCARBOROUGH, Ont. - A motorcyclist in his 20s is in hospital with serious injuries after rear-ending a vehicle on Highway 401 in Scarborough Friday morning, according to CityNews.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the collision in the westbound express lanes of the highway at Kennedy Road just before 8:30 a.m.
According to paramedics, the motorcyclist was initially transported with non-life-threatening injuries, but his condition worsened en route to the hospital. However, the OPP later confirmed that the injuries are not critical.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene. There is no information on whether the driver sustained any injuries.
The incident caused traffic delays on the highway as emergency crews attended to the scene. The cause of the collision is currently under investigation by the OPP.
