TORONTO, ON - A section of eastbound Highway 401 was closed early Wednesday in Toronto’s North York district following a collision, according to OPP GTA Traffic.
The wreck unfolded at the express transfer to the collector lanes toward Allen Road, just north of the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in the district’s Yorkdale neighbourhood. Ontario Provincial Police were called to the scene shortly before 5:04 a.m.
The events leading up to the crash remain under investigation, and it’s unclear at this time how many vehicles were involved or whether anyone was seriously injured.
