TORONTO, ON – A section of southbound Highway 400 was closed in Toronto's North York district early Thursday following a collision, according to OPP GTA Traffic.
The accident occurred some time before 5:34 a.m. and was reported at Highway 401, blocking all southbound lanes back to Finch Avenue at Exit 25, near the Humbermede neighbourhood.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to the scene shortly after, but officials have not released a statement regarding the circumstances of the incident or the parties involved.
By 12:13 p.m., more than six hours later, crews had cleared the scene from the highway and all lanes were announced reopened.
First responders have not confirmed any major injuries or hospital transports from the scene.
