TORONTO, ON - First responders in west Toronto were called to the scene of a fatal crash involving a pedestrian and a dump truck on Monday morning.
According to a report by the CBC, the dump truck was making a left turn from Eglinton Avenue onto Dufferin Street at about 10:30 a.m. when it collided with the victim as he crossed the intersection.
The 53-year-old pedestrian was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later on. Details concerning his identity are being withheld pending further investigation.
Police say the driver of the dump truck cooperated at the scene. We do not know at this time whether any charges will be filed.
