RICHMOND HILL, ON - A female pedestrian was rushed to a trauma centre Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on Elgin Mills Road in Richmond Hill, reports CTV News Toronto.
The incident occurred east of Bathurst Street just before 9:20 p.m., prompting a response from York Regional Police.
While the circumstances of the event remain under investigation, officials said a vehicle was travelling westbound on Elgin Mills Road when it struck and critically injured the victim.
The driver stayed at the scene following the crash, but no other identifying information has been released.
