TORONTO, ON – A woman in her 60s died following a pedestrian crash late Thursday in Toronto's North York district, according to Global News.
The incident unfolded on a stretch of Wilson Avenue at Avenue Road, shortly after 10:00 p.m.
The events leading up to the crash have not been disclosed, but Toronto Police confirmed the victim was struck by a car and suffered life-threatening injuries.
She was rushed to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
No information about the driver has been released, but parts of the intersection were shut down as officials carried out an investigation.
