TORONTO, ON - A woman and a baby were seriously injured Thursday morning as a result of a pedestrian collision in Toronto’s Davisville Village neighbourhood, according to Global News.
The incident was reported near the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road and Davisville Avenue, at the southeast corner of June Rowlands Park. First responders were at the scene by 8:45 a.m.
Toronto Police said the woman and the young child were struck by a vehicle whose driver stopped and remained at the site.
The victims were transported to different trauma centres. Officials indicated that the child’s injuries are non-life-threatening, but have not disclosed the severity of the woman’s condition.
Part of Davisville Avenue was shut down to accommodate the emergency response and investigation.
No charges have been reported at this time.
