TORONTO, ON – Four people were hospitalized, including a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries, Sunday afternoon after a Jeep crashed near a residence in the Etobicoke area of west Toronto, according to Global News.
The incident unfolded near the intersection of Albion Road and Byng Avenue, in Etobicoke's The Elms neighborhood, shortly before 5:00 p.m.
Toronto Police said the driver of a Jeep was changing lanes when, for reasons still unclear, they lost control of the vehicle, which hit two pedestrians. One victim was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition after being dragged and left trapped under the Jeep. The other pedestrian, who suffered injuries considered non-life-threatening, was also transported to the hospital, along with the driver and passenger of the Jeep.
Images captured at the scene show the vehicle came to rest on the stairs of the home's front porch, but no other injuries or information regarding property damage have been reported.
