TORONTO, ON – A Toronto police officer was taken to a hospital Saturday morning following a crash that downed a light pole in the city's Harbourfront area, according to CTV News.
The accident happened on Fort York Boulevard at Dan Leckie Way and was first reported by Toronto Police Operations at 8:50 a.m.
While the circumstances of the event remain unclear, officials indicated that the involved officer was transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure.
One other officer was not reported hurt.
All westbound lanes in the area were shut down to accommodate the emergency response and investigation.
