TORONTO, ON - Five individuals were hospitalized after a Tesla crashed into a townhouse in North York, Toronto, just after midnight on Friday.
According to CTV News, emergency crews responded to the complex south of Sheppard Avenue at Highway 404, where a vehicle slammed into a three-storey building.
Paramedics transported five patients to the hospital, with one sustaining moderate injuries and four having minor injuries. Three of the injured were occupants of the vehicle, while the remaining two were inside the residence during the crash.
The incident caused a natural gas leak as the vehicle struck a gas main, leading to the evacuation of the complex. Toronto Fire Services confirmed that gas to all units has been shut off. The cause of the crash remains unclear, and police are currently investigating.
