BRADFORD, ON – A transport truck was involved in a crash Tuesday morning on Highway 400 near Bradford West Gwillimbury, causing significant delays for commuters, reports Global News.
The incident, which impacted southbound traffic between Toronto and Barrie, also prompted Aurora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to close a northbound lane of Highway 88.
Officials have not said what caused the wreck, but a transport truck heading southbound on Highway 400 traveled into a ditch and entered the northbound lanes before coming to rest in the wooded area along the side of the roadway.
It's unclear at this time how the other two vehicles were involved, but all traffic was detoured off the highway and advised to re-enter Highway 400 from Highway 89.
