TORONTO, ON - The driver of a tractor-trailer was hospitalized early Saturday following a crash involving a suspected street racer in northwest Toronto.
According to a report by City News, the tractor-trailer was westbound on the Gardiner Expressway near Park Lawn Road at about 1:30 a.m. when it was hit by a Prorche also traveling west at a high rate of speed. The driver then lost control, causing the truck to overturn in the roadway, blocking all westbound lanes of travel.
The truck's driver, whose identity is unclear at this time, was sent to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Porsche fled the scene on foot before officers arrived. Police have not released any additional information on that individual's identity.
