SCARBOROUGH, ON - Two people were injured, one seriously, Sunday morning due to a four-vehicle collision in the Golden Mile neighbourhood of southwest Scarborough.
The accident happened on a stretch of Eglinton Avenue East from Thermos Road to Birchmount Road at about 9:00 a.m.
Officials have not released information about the events leading up to the crash, but paramedics had to rush one person to a local trauma centre for serious injuries. Another patient who suffered minor injuries was also transported to a hospital.
Part of westbound Eglinton Avenue East was shut down in the area during the emergency response. Motorists were advised of delays.
At this time, no pending charges have been reported.
